Apple has announced a significant update to its Apple Fitness+ subscription service as consumers around the world continue to keep their New Year’s resolutions. In January, the company will launch a new Collections feature as well as a Time to Run function.
Apple has announced that the following six Collections will be available at launch:
- Core Challenge for 30 Days
- Pilates Can Help You Improve Your Posture
- Yoga Balance Poses should be perfected.
- Your First 5K Run
- Stretch your hips and strengthen your back.
- Relax and unwind for a better night’s sleep
Time to Run is the first expansion of Apple’s Time to Walk feature, which was introduced around this time last year. Time to Run is described by Apple as “a new audio running experience designed to help users become more consistent and better runners, with each episode focusing on a popular running route in some of the most notable and iconic locations,” with each episode focusing on a popular running route in some of the most notable and iconic locations.
The first three episodes of Time to Run will be shot in London, Brooklyn, and Miami Beach. According to Apple, a new episode of Time to Run will be released every Monday.
Finally, Apple has announced that its Artist Spotlight series on Apple Fitness+ would be expanded with new exercises featuring Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams, Shakira, and the Beatles.
Apple Fitness+ is available as part of the Apple One subscription package for $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, or separately for $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. It has 11 different workout types and deep Apple Watch integration, with new workouts and classes being added every week.
