Her acting career took off when she played Annabeth, a half-human, half-Olympus god adolescent, in the Percy Jackson film adaptation. The New York-born actress was cast as a witch in the adaptation of one of the most well-known books by Anne Rice, the author of books like Interview with the Vampire and The Queen of the Damned. A neurosurgeon finds out that she is the last surviving member of a legendary family of witches, that a sinister presence has been persecuting them for generations, and that she is now the one who must carry the legacy and attempt to defeat his enemy. This upcoming series is based on the novel by Anne Rice. Harry Hamlin and Jack Huston are also featured in the series.
The White Lotus – HBO Max
This 10-Emmy Award-winning miniseries is the first volume in an anthology. A number of people (including Daddario) travel to a posh resort in Hawaii in the first season with the intention of having the ideal vacation, but things quickly get out of hand, tensions rise, issues surface, and everything ends in robberies, murders, and dashed dreams at the hands of a number of privileged characters you love to hate.
True Detective – HBO Max
In this series, which has also evolved into a sort of criminal anthology, Daddario gave life to a character by the name of Lisa Tragnetti. In it, we can see a team of detectives that look into the most gruesome cases while simultaneously juggling personal issues and maintaining their relationships. Great performers including Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, and Mahershala Ali have appeared in the series.
Why Women Kill – Paramount+
This television show is also an anthology that tells the stories of three separate ladies who have lived in the same home over the course of three different eras. They are all connected by the fact that they have all had betrayals and marital issues, which push them to their breaking point and cause them to erupt in violent and murderous ways. Nick Frost, Lucy Liu, and Ginnifer Goodwin also make an appearance with Daddario.
The Girlfriend Experience – StarzPlay
Based on the Steven Soderberg film, this television series is also something of an anthology, following various women (lawyers, students with promising futures, etc.) as they immerse themselves in the escort industry in an effort to make money. As a result, they come into contact with influential men who have the power to either change or ruin their lives.
White Collar – Star+
The main character of this series, which was Alexandra Daddario’s second, is Matt Bomer. The protagonist of the novel is a smart and charming White Collar criminal who, after being apprehended, agrees to work with the FBI to stop other crooks like him and to stay out of trouble.
American Horror Story – Star+
In season five of American Horror Story, which takes place in a haunted hotel from which you cannot escape once you enter, Daddario brought Natacha Rambova to life. The adventures of the perpetual residents of the Hotel Cortez, which is run by a mystery vampire woman and has an entourage of spooky kidnapped children, are followed throughout the season. The Hotel Cortez was inspired on the notorious Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles.
Fatherhood
The Braverman family is followed in this series starring Peter Krause, Lauren Graham, and Dax Shepard. Each of the brothers must deal with issues in their own families, relationships, and original families, which keeps them together but does not stop them from having a variety of conflicts and arguments along the way. It is a drama in the vein of This is Us that examines a regular American family’s daily existence.
