Nothing Co-Founder and CEO Carl Pei announced in a media interview on Thursday that the Nothing Phone 2 will be released globally in July. It is also confirmed to have a somewhat larger battery than the Nothing Phone 1’s 4,500mAh capacity. The former OnePlus Co-Founder previously disclosed that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the Nothing Phone 2. Unlike the Phone 1, the second-generation device will be released in the United States alongside the rest of the world. The latest offering from the UK firm could look exactly like the original Nothing Phone 1.

Carl Pei announced in an interview with Forbes that Nothing’s next smartphone, the Nothing Phone 2, will be released in July. He also revealed that the phone will have a 4,700mAh battery, which is 200mAh larger than the 4,500mAh unit seen in the Nothing Phone 1.

Along with the Nothing Phone 2 Launch Date worldwide, this second-generation Nothing smartphone is expected to arrive in the United States. The Nothing Phone 1 was not released in the United States, but American buyers were offered the opportunity to test it out through a unique beta program. To participate in the campaign, they had to pay $299 (approximately Rs. 24,400) and would receive a black edition of the Nothing Phone 1 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

Pei previously announced that the Nothing Phone 2 will be powered by a flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The Nothing Phone 1, on the other hand, is powered by a mid-range octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

Nothing Phone 2 is expected to provide consumers with a better experience than Nothing Phone 1. The latter was introduced in India in July of last year, with a starting price of Rs. 32,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. Later in August, the brand raised the price by Rs. 1,000.
