Apple fans should start putting money aside now because there will be a slew of new Apple products in 2022.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has listed all of the new items Apple plans to debut next year, according to his sources, in his monthly Power On newsletter (via 9to5Mac).
Of course, the list contains the usual Apple gizmos, such as new iPhones, which are released every year (though, notably, an iPhone SE with 5G is also coming). We’ve already heard rumors regarding the majority of these devices. However, simply having everything in one location warms our hearts and gets us thrilled for the year ahead.
Starting with the Mac, Gurman claims that Apple will release new Apple products — Mac Mini, a new high-end iMac, and an improved Mac Pro, all of which will be powered by Apple silicon. An entirely revamped MacBook Air featuring an M2 processor, as well as a new entry-level MacBook Pro, will be available.
On the tablet front, Apple intends to update both the iPad Air and the iPad Mini. The iPad Pro, on the other hand, is getting a new design that includes wireless charging, which is a first for the iPad.
There will be three new Apple Watch models: a standard new model, a new, more cheap Apple Watch SE variant, and a ruggedized version for athletic types. Apple is also expected to release updated AirPods Pro earbuds.
Finally, according to Gurman, Apple will release its long-rumored augmented/virtual reality headset next year.
Given the global chip shortage and the seemingly never-ending COVID-19 pandemic, several of these products may be postponed until next year. If everything goes according to plan, though, it will be an exciting year for Apple fans.
