It’s an opt-in feature that, if enabled, allows users to set in-app reminders to take a break from the Instagram app after 10, 20, or 30 minutes of continuous use.
The ‘Take a Break’ feature, according to Mosseri, was created as a way for individuals to relax “”This is part of a larger effort to give people more control over their Instagram experience,” she said, adding that “additional concepts like this will be coming in the future.”
“The ‘Take a Break’ tool was developed in collaboration with third-party specialists, and it will begin rolling out to a small number of users in the coming days.
According to News Media, the business hopes to deploy this new service in December, and if all goes well during testing, ‘Take a Break’ will be available to all customers in a month or two.
