Nothing Phone 1 Specs, features, design and launch date has been leaked. “Leaks are harder to stop these days, and many of you have been waiting for a long time,” Pei wrote in a tweet. “Here it is, then.” The phone will be officially announced at Nothing’s next event on July 12.
The picture shows that some of the rumors about the phone’s design are true. Carl Pei, who co-founded OnePlus, is in charge of the consumer tech company Nothing, which has shown off the back of its first phone, the Phone 1. According to media reports, Pei earlier said that the back of the phone, which seems to be made of clear material, has light strips that light up. Nothing gave a hint about how these light strips would be set up at a previous show. On the middle of the back of the phone, you can see a logo that almost looks like the outline of a cartoon bomb.
Yesterday, the light strips were shown at a teaser event in Basel, Switzerland, where the Art Basel show is going on.
The phone is also known to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, wireless charging, and Nothing OS, which is a modified version of Android. There’s no doubt that Nothing will slowly share more information about the phone before the official announcement next month.
Nothing Phone 1 Specs
The question of what Nothing Phone 1 specs will be the most important thing about it. We know that it will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, most likely the Gen 1, and that it will have its own operating system called Nothing OS, but that’s about it.
I’d expect the base model to have an AMOLED screen, probably in QHD, a lot of RAM (up to 8GB), and probably 128GB of storage. I’d also like this phone to work with SD cards. And Pei wants to make a lot of new friends, especially ones who can charge really fast with wires or wirelessly.
The company that owns OPPO, OnePlus, RealMe, and Vivo smartphones has all the best charging tech, and they’re probably funding the whole Nothing project, so it would make sense to use some of its IP in the Nothing Phone 1. It would be nice to have both wired and wireless charging at 65W, especially if the price is fair.
Nothing Phone 1 Price
Again, nobody knows anything about the Nothing Phone 1 price right now. We only know that it will have a Snapdragon CPU, that it might have a transparent design, and that its user interface (UI) will be Nothing OS. We don’t know how much the Nothing Phone 1 price will be, but based on Pei’s past work, I’d bet that it will be priced competitively. How aggressive the company wants to be is the only thing that matters.
It could go the other way, too. The phone could be the best one on the market and cost around $1000. I don’t think this is likely, though, because Nothing has no market share, no brand recognition, and no customers right now. It’s stupid to put out a phone from a brand nobody knows and ask people to pay $1000 for it. It wouldn’t sell.
And if the Nothing Phone 1 comes to the US, it will need support from a carrier. Without this, it will be hard for the phone to work. More than ever, this is a big deal, so if Pei wants this phone to take off, he needs to get the carriers on board. Unless, of course, Pei makes the phone so cheap that everyone wants to buy it online from Nothing.
I want a phone with a unique look, great Nothing Phone 1 specs, and a good camera that costs less than $500. This is what I hope the Nothing Phone 1 will do.
Design and other Features
Nothing Phone 1 design is an interesting turn of events. Early rumors say that the phone will have the same see-through design as the company’s Nothing headphones. If this is true, it would mean that the Nothing Phone 1 would have a clear case so you could see all of the parts inside.
No phone has ever done anything like this before, except for a Xiaomi phone I tested a few years ago, but that was only on the back of the phone, and even then, it wasn’t the real internals. If Nothing can make a really clear phone that looks good, I think it will be a niche product that will attract a lot of early adopters. It’s a part of Nothing Phone 1 specs, so you should know about its design and features before buying this smartphone.
