Geoff Keighley, the organizer of the annual Summer Game Fest event, has unveiled the entire list of partners who will be showcasing their products. The list includes 43 companies and developers, including industry heavyweights like PlayStation, which has yet to confirm any specific dates or events for the summer months. The publisher earlier withdrew from the E3 2023 event, resulting in the termination of the video game festival. Summer Game Fest will begin on June 9 at 12:30am IST in India and June 8 at 12pm PT in the United States, live from the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles. The event will be broadcast on all major livestreaming platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and TikTok.
Xbox is also a partner, hosting a Games Showcase on June 11 that will focus on first peeks from its internal and third-party studios, followed by a Starfield Direct event that will air immediately thereafter. Ubisoft is another major publisher that has chosen a date for its games showcase – June 12 — which may include updates on the long-delayed naval warfare game Skull and Bones. CD Projekt Red is expected to reveal details on the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, while Disney is working on a Black Panther x Captain America team-up game.

Tickets for this year’s Summer Game Fest are also available on the official website (Ticketmaster is the portal). It is worth noting that the event is basically a platform for creators to show off new games and trailers, as well as special guests who may appear on stage. Consumers will not be able to participate in hands-on gameplay or demo sessions. However, after the expo, there will be a unique invite-only preview event for media and influencers called PlayDays, where they will be able to test out games.

In reaction to all big events being canceled as part of the lockdown strategy during the COVID-19 epidemic, Keighley launched Summer Game Fest in 2020. As seen at E3, the online digital-only festival allowed publishers — both AAA and independent — to display their games without having to pay a large cost for a physical booth. It was a four-month-long festival back then, which most gamers didn’t like because there would be extended stretches of emptiness before a new announcement.

Summer Game Fest begins on June 9 at 12:30am IST/ June 8 at 12pm PT in the United States.
