The Vivo Y22, the latest smartphone in the company’s Y-series, has been released in Indonesia. The device has a waterdrop-style notch display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 gaming SoC. It includes the Extended RAM 2.0 function, which allows the internal memory to be increased by up to 2GB via internal storage for improved performance. The Vivo Y22 features a dual rear camera configuration with a 50-megapixel sensor, as well as a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities.
Vivo Y22 price, availability and specifications
The Vivo Y22 costs IDR 2,399,000 (about Rs. 12,900) for the currently available 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. There will also be a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model available soon. The phone is presently available in Indonesia through Vivo’s online shop and the e-commerce website Tokopedia. The Vivo smartphone is available in three colors: Metaverse Green, Starlit Blue, and Summer Cyan.
The Vivo Y22’s global availability and price have not yet been confirmed.
LCD display
The Vivo Y22 dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 and has a 6.55-inch full-HD (720 x 1,612) LCD display with an 89.67 percent screen-to-body ratio and 530 nits of peak brightness. The selfie camera is housed in a waterdrop-style notch cutout on the display. The new Vivo smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 gaming SoC and up to 6GB of RAM. Because of the Extended RAM 2.0 technology, the RAM may be increased up to 8GB utilizing additional onboard storage.
Dual rear camera
The Vivo Y22 has a dual rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an f/1.8 aperture lens for photographs and videos. A 2-megapixel bokeh sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens is also included in the camera arrangement. A front-facing 8-megapixel selfie sensor with an f/2.0 aperture lens is available for selfies and video chats.
The Vivo Y22 comes with up to 128GB of internal storage that can be increased with a microSD card (up to 1TB). The Vivo Y22 has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS, Glonass, NFC, OTG, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. An e-compass, gravity sensor, light sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor are among the sensors on board. In addition, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
The Vivo Y22 sports a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities. The phone is dust and water resistant to IP54 standards. It has dimensions of 164.30×76.10×8.38mm and weighs 190g.
